Anders Valdemar Clausen / Behind the visor

Valdemar.
Behind the visor.

Before the GT ambitions and podium finishes, there was a little boy with his hands on the wheel. Here is a more personal look at Valdemar and the interest in cars that has stayed with him from childhood to the racetrack.

01 / The first memories

It started
with cars.

Valdemar’s interest in karting was sparked at a very early age. From his child car seat, he watched his father drive a kart. When Valdemar sat in a kart himself for the first time, he knew this was what he wanted to do. The dream was big from the very beginning: he wanted to become Formula 1 World Champion.

02 / From interest to experience

Memories from
the karting track.

Karting became the path from a dream to experience on track. It is where Valdemar has developed as a driver, achieved national results and competed internationally. The photos from Roskilde Racing Center and Korsør Kart Klub capture some of the moments along that journey.

The next chapter.
The same love of cars.

The ambition to reach the top remains, but the goal has evolved. While Formula 1 was the first big dream, today Valdemar’s sights are set especially on Le Mans. The next step is GT racing, and through the Wimmer Werk Driving Program he works on driving, simulator training, and physical and mental preparation. Project 2030 brings together the ambition to build on his karting experience and make it to Le Mans.
